Rhythm of Life

Rhythm or Life is a work of art that uncovers the differences and similarities between people and cultures. Visitors can get acquainted on a playful manner with different cultures. Through this interactive video-installation, users can adapt the rhythms of different people on the screen. You can let the New York businessman walk in an African way. Together with other visitors you create a new virtual public space.

For the ‘Rhythm or Life’ project different recordings of street
life have been made all around the world. These recordings
are projected on a large screen. The people who are in the video installation are real people in their daily grind. Because you mix the people and the spots the differences between the cultures become quite

Technique
You can select a person (which are real people) in the installation. Then choose in which surroundings he or she wants to place the person (the location). Ultimately the speed indication; the user chooses in which rhythm the person
moves.
