A Flock of Fish

A Flock of Fish has a direct link with the water and nature. The basic material is plastic that has ended up in the rivers. Waste plastic is removed from the water together with residents. This plastic is the basic material for the artwork. Waste plastic, such as bags become part of large works of art. The works of art refer to the underwater world. The inspiration comes from the way fish swim in schools. This time there are no fish swimming in the water, but plastic bags that form the schools. This time the plastic swims above the water. This gives the name for the works of art: 'a flock of fish'. There is a deeper meaning here. The water comes from four sides; from the air, from the interior through the rivers, from the sea with the tides and from below. The fact that the fish swim above the water surface refers to the rising water.
